Can't decide which Mitsubishi Mirage is the best for you? Come by Richfield Bloomington Mitsubishi to see the DE and ES trims and compare the two. They both come standard with many options and features, and there is still plenty of room to make the Mirage your own.

Differences Between the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage DE and ES

The Mitsubishi Mirage DE starts at just under $13,000 for the 5-speed manual transmission. For just over $1,000 more, you can choose the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). This transmission is made to optimize fuel economy by constantly adjusting to your speed and power needs. As for the ES trim, it gives you a bit more style, comfort, and flair. These extras bring you to a starting price of just over $14,000 with the 5-speed manual transmission and just over $15,000 with the CVT. The ES also gives you a little more curb weight, but fortunately, doesn't change your EPA-estimated fuel economy. Some of the added features on the outside include fog lights, side view mirrors with turn signals, and 14" alloy wheels - versus the 14" steel wheels on the DE. Inside, you get more style and technology, including a Bluetooth hands-free system, where you can integrate your compatible smartphone to play music, access your contacts, and make or receive phone calls. It also has steering wheel-mounted controls to help you keep your eyes on the road and improve safety.

To add a little flair, there is a push button start to go with the keyless entry system (keyless entry with the panic alarm feature is standard on the DE), a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and silver accents on the shifter or CVT panel and on the door handles. For your added comfort, the ES also has a 6-way adjustable driver's front seat (compared to the 4-way adjustable seat on the DE) and there is an available navigation system with a rearview camera.

There Are Some Similarities

The DE and ES are very similar in safety and performance, with both having a 74-hp, 1.2L DOHC MIVEC 3-cylinder engine, ECO status indicator, FWD, anti-theft engine immobilizer, electric power steering assist, ABS brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), 7 airbags, RISE body construction (for enhanced safety in the event of a collision), and a 10-year/100,000 mile warranty.
